Prasan Gateway International School (PGIS) is a growing and inclusive international school located in the heart of Chalong, Phuket. We are currently seeking a passionate, energetic, and dedicated native English speaking Primary Teachers to join our international school community.
Teachers currently based in Thailand are encouraged to apply, as in-person interviews are preferred, though overseas applicants will also be considered.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences for primary-aged students while fostering a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
This role is ideal for a teacher who is confident teaching Mathematics and core primary subjects, enjoys cross-curricular and inquiry-based learning, and values building strong relationships within a smaller school community.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the English National Curriculum
Teach Mathematics and core primary subjects using effective differentiation strategies
Integrate IPC themes and inquiry-based learning approaches into classroom practice
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents
Work collaboratively with colleagues, leadership, and support staff
Contribute positively to the wider school community and school events
Requirements
Native English speaker
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field
PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification preferred
Candidates currently enrolled in a PGCE programme are also encouraged to apply
Minimum 3 years of teaching experience preferred
Experience teaching primary Mathematics and core subjects
Familiarity with Oxford curriculum resources, IPC, and/or the English National Curriculum preferred
Strong classroom management, organisational, and communication skills
Experience working with children from diverse cultural and language backgrounds
