Have you always wanted to live in Japan while gaining meaningful international work experience? RVF International is currently placing candidates in Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) positions in public schools across Japan. This opportunity is perfect for recent graduates, career changers, or anyone looking for an exciting new adventure abroad.
What You'll Do
As an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT), you'll work alongside Japanese teachers to help students improve their English communication skills while introducing them to different cultures and perspectives.
Full-time position (Monday–Friday)
Teach elementary, junior high, or high school students
Team-teach with experienced Japanese teachers
Focus on conversational English and cultural exchange
One-year renewable contract
Salary & Benefits
Starting salary of approximately ¥215,000+ JPY per month (roughly $1,325 USD)
Housing assistance provided
Transportation allowance
National health insurance
Paid holidays and vacation
Comprehensive training and orientation

Who We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree (any field)
Native English speaker (or near-native fluency)
Eligible for a Japanese work visa
Clean criminal background check
Positive, adaptable, and enthusiastic about working with children
No teaching experience is required.
A TEFL/TESOL certification is recommended and can be completed through RVF International before departure if needed.
