About Arno
Arno is a leading preparation platform for English proficiency tests, serving over 350,000 students worldwide. We provide AI-powered practice questions, full-length mock tests, instant scoring, and personalized feedback. We're a fast-moving startup building the future of English test preparation.
The Role
We're looking for excellent English teachers to tutor our students as they prepare for high-stakes English proficiency exams. You'll work directly with learners from around the world, helping them improve their English and hit the scores they need for university admission, immigration, and careers.
This is a flexible, fully remote role. You set your own hours and tutor as much or as little as fits your life. You can be based anywhere in the world. There's no requirement to be in the US or any specific country.
We provide the lesson plans, so you can focus on teaching rather than prep. That said, our plans are living documents: we'll count on you to adapt them to each student and to tell us what's working and what isn't, so we can keep making them better. The best teachers on our team treat this as a real input into the product, not a side task.
Getting Started: Paid Training
Before you take on students, you'll complete a paid onboarding and training program — roughly 10 hours, compensated at a flat $150. This covers our teaching approach, the lesson-plan materials, the exam formats we prepare students for, and how we work together. We pay for this time because we take it seriously and we want you to as well.
What You'll Do
Tutor students one-on-one (and, over time, possibly in small groups) using our provided lesson plans
Adapt lesson plans to each student's level, goals, and target exam
Give clear, encouraging, actionable feedback that helps students improve quickly
Share structured feedback with us on the lesson plans and materials so we can improve them
Keep reliable communication with students and with the Arno team
Who You Are
Required:
Native or fully fluent English speaker (C2 level) with excellent pronunciation
Experience teaching English (ESL/EFL, test preparation, or academic English)
Strong command of English grammar and the ability to explain complex concepts simply and clearly
Self-directed and reliable: you manage your own schedule and show up for your students
Comfortable in a startup environment: adaptable, open to feedback, and willing to help us improve as we grow
A quiet space and a stable internet connection suitable for live online tutoring
Nice to have:
Experience with DET, IELTS, TOEFL, PTE Academic, TOEIC, or other English proficiency exams
Experience tutoring online and working with students across time zones and first languages
Compensation
$15 per hour of tutoring
$150 flat for completing initial training (~10 hours)
Set your own hours: work as much or as little as you like
Fully remote: work from anywhere in the world

Please mention that you found the job on Teast for the school's reference.

Please review the requirements to teach English in Online before applying. If a post says “NES” or “Native English Speaker”, it usually means applicants must be from the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa (sometimes it’s a preference, not a hard rule).
Schools receive many applications and may not reply to everyone. If you don’t hear back within a week, move on to the next job.
Never pay to apply. Never pay to “buy something now and get reimbursed later.” Always verify you’re speaking with the actual school (not an impostor). Scams do exist—be careful.
