Job Title: Remote ESL Content Creator

Arno, a leading preparation platform for the Duolingo English Test (DET), is seeking a Remote ESL Content Creator to join our dynamic startup. We serve over 250,000 students globally with AI-powered practice questions, mock tests, and personalized feedback. As we expand beyond the DET to cover additional English proficiency exams by 2026, we are looking for a talented English teacher to produce engaging video and social media content for platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. This role is pivotal to our growth and involves working closely with Otto, our co-founder and CEO.
Responsibilities:
- Create and publish a minimum of one YouTube video per week focusing on English grammar, vocabulary, DET strategies, and test preparation tips.
- Produce and post at least two social media posts weekly on platforms like TikTok and Instagram with short-form educational content.
- Engage with audience comments and community posts.
- Develop a content calendar aligned with Arno's brand and student needs.
- Write educational articles on English grammar and proficiency test preparation.
- Create practice exercises and learning materials for the Arno platform.
Requirements:
- Native or fully fluent English speaker (C2 level) with excellent pronunciation.
- Experience in teaching English (ESL/EFL, test preparation, or academic English).
- Strong understanding of English grammar and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Proven track record of creating video content for platforms like YouTube and TikTok.
- Ability to thrive in a startup environment, being self-directed and adaptable.
- Consistent reliability in meeting weekly content deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the Duolingo English Test format and other English proficiency exams like IELTS or TOEFL.
- An existing audience or following in the English teaching space.
- Experience with video editing tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, or Final Cut.
- Knowledge of YouTube and social media growth strategies.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Annual salary ranging from $42,000 to $50,000.
- Performance-based bonuses related to content views and channel growth.
- 0.25% equity with a 4-year vesting schedule and 1-year cliff.
