DongDae Mun Poly School is seeking ESL teachers for a full-time position starting in September 2026. The school, located in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, South Korea, offers a vibrant work environment in central Seoul. The position requires teaching kindergarten to elementary school students aged 4-12 years old. Classes have a maximum of 12 students and last 40 minutes each. The curriculum and materials are provided, requiring only simple preparation before class. Working hours are from Monday to Thursday, 9:30 am to 6:50 pm, and Friday, 9:30 am to 6:05 pm, with no weekend classes.
Benefits include a starting monthly salary of 2.6 million KRW (negotiable based on experience), single furnished housing or a housing allowance, single airfare, 11 days of paid vacation plus national holidays, national health insurance, and a severance bonus upon contract completion. The school also provides a fixed schedule, pension contributions, and ample support from a team of experienced Korean teachers and academic counselors.
Applicants must be native English speakers from the US, Canada, UK, New Zealand, or Australia, with eligibility for an E-2 visa or F-visa holders. Gyopos are welcome to apply. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree from a 4-year university, a valid passport with at least 13 months remaining, a genuine interest in teaching young learners, and a willingness to work in a multicultural setting. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with preschool to elementary-aged students, teaching or education certifications, and TEFL/TESOL certifications.
