Taiwan requires teachers to hold passports from designated English-speaking countries for cram school (buxiban) positions. Eligible countries include USA, UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.
Please mention that you found the job on Teast for the school's reference.
You need to be from one of the following countries to teach English in Taiwan: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa. Some schools may hire teachers with an existing long-term visa, and non-English subjects are not affected by this requirement.
Schools receive many applications and may not reply to everyone. If you don’t hear back within a week, move on to the next job.
Never pay to apply. Never pay to “buy something now and get reimbursed later.” Always verify you’re speaking with the actual school (not an impostor). Scams do exist—be careful.
