Chiang Rai International School (CRIS) in Chiang Rai, Thailand, is looking for a qualified and enthusiastic AP Calculus and High School Mathematics Teacher to join our academic team. This is a full-time position with a monthly salary of 55,000 Baht. CRIS provides a WASC-accredited international school environment with motivated students from diverse cultural backgrounds.

At CRIS, teachers benefit from small class sizes, dedicated planning time, and opportunities to closely monitor and support student development. The successful candidate will join a collaborative and supportive mathematics department, working alongside experienced educators in a positive learning environment.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or a related field, along with a valid teaching license or certification from an accredited institution. A minimum of two years of middle or high school teaching experience is required, as well as strong subject knowledge and classroom expertise.

We seek a student-centered educator who is flexible, creative, and committed to providing engaging and effective instruction. Teachers should be attentive to students’ social-emotional learning needs and demonstrate a commitment to collaborative lesson planning and teamwork.

Proficiency in using educational, administrative, and communication technologies to enhance teaching and learning is essential. Strong English communication skills, including excellent written communication, are critical for this role.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering high-quality mathematics lessons, including AP Calculus and other assigned courses, fostering critical thinking, academic growth, and active student participation. Teachers will create a positive and engaging classroom environment, develop standards-based instructional units, and provide meaningful feedback to students, parents, and administrators.

Additional duties include assessing and evaluating student progress, maintaining accurate records, and preparing professional reports as per the school's schedule. The teacher is expected to deliver student-centered instruction that supports learners' academic success and personal development.

CRIS offers a supportive international school community with professional colleagues, strong academic programs, and resources that encourage effective teaching practices. This position is ideal for a dedicated mathematics educator passionate about inspiring students in a diverse learning environment.

Please review the requirements to teach English in Thailand before applying. If a post says “NES” or “Native English Speaker”, it usually means applicants must be from the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa (sometimes it’s a preference, not a hard rule).
Schools receive many applications and may not reply to everyone. If you don’t hear back within a week, move on to the next job.
Watch out for agencies that charge fees or take a cut of your salary. Good agencies are paid by the schools—not by you. If you’re unsure how they make money, ask. If they say they take a percentage, that’s a red flag. Avoid them and let us know so we can ban them.
Never pay to apply. Never pay to “buy something now and get reimbursed later.” Always verify you’re speaking with the actual school (not an impostor). Scams do exist—be careful.
